Drifting About (Devil's Lady crew)

Nym woke up and walked out onto the deck. It had been a bit since they had found a ship, but considering the size of her territory, the Atlantic. Nym thought it might have been that the ships had changed their routes because they figured out where we were patroling.

"Has anyone seen anything?" Nym asks to her crew.

Tessie then seen Nym walk out on the deck. It really wasn't that rare, she like to make sure that her ship was running smoothly. She was enjoying her new life as first mate on The Devil's Lady. This life was better than being a lady and married to someone that she didn't love.

“ No I haven't seen anything yet.”

Mirror could not believe after all her traveling around she was finally able to secure a position on The Devil's Lady. She had being working for smaller captains here and there and she had always wanted to work for a Lord.

Not many people knew about who Mirror was and she liked to keep it that way. She was able to use her influence to help many a Captain in the past, and she wished to do it for this Captain.

Last night she was assigned to the Crow's nest, it was actually a job she loved to do. She felt like she was one with the world up there. It seemed like that had not seen a ship for days, she saw nothing exciting last night at all, but was ready to take a nap.

Jumping down off the last few feet, she about lost her balance,

"No, Captain, I have nothing to report from last nights watch." Mirror was just a little tired, but this was the life she enjoyed.

"Is there anything else you will be a needing before I retire for a couple of hours?"

"Go ahead and retire, it's not there had been anything for a couple of days," Nym says, slightly disgruntled.

Then she turned to her first mate. "I know you've been up for a bit, but would you mind taking the birds nest for a couple hours, I need to eat and get dressed before I do anything. Well, maybe not getting dressed, I like my nightgown," Nym says, tugging at her rather shear outfit.

It was true that they hadn't seen anything for a couple of days. Nothing but oceans with no land in sight. But that is what she loved about a pirate life, freedom.

“ Yes Captain I can take the crow nest for a little bit.” Tessie knew that her captain love to walk around her her shear nightgown. She noticed that her captain looked good, but she would never act on it since she was the first mate.

"Thanks, I'll be back in a bit," Nym says, walking back below deck to the kitchen. "Because we haven't seen anyone in days, I haven't had any relief in days," Nym thought to herself.

After about an hour of eating and getting changed into a different shear nightgown, Nym climbs up the latter to the crows nest. "How are things looking?" Nym asks her first mate.

Tessie got comfortable in the crow's nest. She just looked around and seen nothing for miles around. They hadn't seen anything for days. She would be ready for sleep soon. Tessie had been up doing watch for a while.

She then noticed that her captain climbed up into the latter. And she had changed her nightgown. “ Things are going good captain.”

"Well, I'll take over, you look like you could use the rest," Nym tells Tessa. "Also, get out of those clothes, as I've told you before, you are always overdressed."

Tessie yawned a little bit. “ Sleep does sound good right now.” It has been a while she seen her own bed. She then blinked. “ Sure I will make sure that I change my clothes.” Tessie never thought that she was overdressed but it was what the captain said.

Nym watched her first mate walk into the lower deck. Laying there, Nym watched as nothing but ocean passed her by while waiting for one of her two shipmates wake up.

Mirror had a nice few hours of sleep but she knew she better get up and head to the cows nest to take over for her shift.

She did a little wash up with the water in the galley and changed her clothes a little. She didn't have much, but she was a little cool last night and wanted to be a little warmer. She donned on a pair of ripped up and dirty looking pants that were cut at the knees, and then a long sleeved shirt that actually was cut at the middle.

She could not remember the last time she had a normal bath, her parents were probably rolling over in their graves about now. She left her sleeping area trying not to wake anyone else that might be sleeping and headed towards the crows nest.

Upon reaching the pole she climbed up to the top only to discover the Captain sitting in the place.

"Mirror here for duty Captain" Mirror looked a little worn, but she was good. She had learned over the years to run on a few hours of sleep but she was always on top of her game.

Nym saw Mirror climb up to the crows nest. She had only been with the ship for about a week, and was still learning how the ship works. "Nice to see you Mirror, but not so formal," Nym says, patting the spot next to her in the nest for Mirror to sit.

"So, how are things going for you Mirror? You liking the ship?" Nym asks.

Mirror smiled, she really liked this captain, she seemed a little more relaxed the others she had worked for. She was not sure how not to be so formal.

"Sorry Captain, I am not sure how not to be formal." Mirror gave a small smile. She had been raise to show proper respect and was not sure how to do anything else. She took the seat next to the captain.

"Actually things are going very well, I love this life." Mirror could not imagine doing anything else any more.

"I love the ship, crows nest is my favorite. Makes me feel free."

"Well, just think of it as me trying to be your friend and not your boss," Nym says.

After hearing the response to her questions, Nym says "That's good, you haven't had anything to spot yet, so I can't say anything about your ability, but you seem like you like this spot, which usually means that you know what your doing. I'll be on the deck, don't know what I'll be doing, but I'll be down there."

Mirror like the idea of a friend, she had not had many since she left home, but all was good. She had not had many lovers either and she was starting to get a little anxious on that front.

"What do you want me to address you as?" Mirror asked simply

"Every ship I have been on it has always been the night shift in the nest, so I guess I must be doing something right." Mirror was not sure how good she was, she just did her job.

"Ok, I will let you know if I see anything." Mirror stated plainly

"Whatever you want, though Nymph has been a popular one from people who have have worked on here before," Nym says, with a sexy smirk on her face.

"Yes, I guess you have," Nym remarks.

"Okay, keep me posted," Nym says, before heading down to the deck.

Mirror smiled when the Captain told her she could call her Nymph, "I like that name, it seems to suit you just fine." Mirror could not help but notice how beautiful the Captain truly was. She reminded Mirror of a Siren actually, they were always beautiful.

Mirror watched as Nymph headed back down to the deck. The more and more Mirror was on this ship she could tell it felt just like home and hope that the Captain would keep her around for awhile. Sooner or later the Captain would discover how truly talented she was, not to mention powerful.

Tessie woke up and stretched out. The naps was good for her. She would be ready to take watch again, her body was used to not getting a lot of sleep. Tessie smiled as she walked out of her cabin. The sun was shining and it made her feel happy. She smiled as she looked around.

She then seen her captain and remember that she told her that she would change. But she didn't see anything wrong with her clothes.

Mirror looked around and once again saw nothing, it had been that way once again. She could not believe that they had not seen anything again, they were up to three days now. She had never seen such a low in ships before, she was wondering what was going on. Someone was talking somewhere.

Mirror noticed once again the sun was starting to rise, and that meant her shift was about over once again, but for a change she was not tired, maybe she would see about taking a stroll around the deck before it was time to call it a day.

Mirror looked over the edge of the nest to see if her replacement was on their way. Mirror knew if she could do it she would stay up here all the time she love it.

Mirror just sat and waited for her replacement to come whomever that might be, it was not like she was in a hurry.

"Hello Tessa, you enjoying the morning. I need to get Mirror down here, I want to talk to the two of you. As you can see, I'm running a skeleton crew right now," Nym says.

After getting Mirror down from the bird's nest, Nym starts to talk, "So, you are both new. I had to replace my crew when they got killed in a bar fire, I was in another house with someone at the time, which is why I'm not dead. You will find that I am very different from any other captain you will meet. There is a reason I'm called Nymph, I really don't care about standards. I have had many relationships with crew members, most of the time with all of them, as you can probably tell, I don't wear much, and I try and get my crew members to follow my example, and I'm not as much your captain as your friend, though in battle, I expect you to follow my orders. Now that you get the gist of how I run things, unless you have questions, Tessa, you take the birds nest while Mirror and I sleep."

Tessa blinked as she heard what happened to her other crew. She then looked at her captain and smiling. “ I understand Nymph.” This is why she was telling Tessie that she was overdressed. She knew that she was excited about this. She listened to how everything was being run. And she could go by that. It was only her and the other girl, she thought her name was mirror. So she would be working a lot.

She then smiled as she took the bird's nest again.

Mirror listened to Nymph and was ready to do some hard work. It would not be the first time she has had to do extra shifts.

"It is not a problem, Nymph it would not be the first time I have had to work extra time in the nest. 16 hours is usually the max I have done."

It was not a problem for Mirror to work double shifts, she loved the spot and if it wasn't for needing sleep she would stay up there all the time. The only thing Mirror was worried about was her clothes, she didn't own anything less than what she was wearing, there was no need.


"Sleep sounds good, so I will leave you two" Mirror headed off towards the galley where she was sleeping.

Nym was glad that her 2 new crew members were accepting of her lifestyle, she's scared a fair number from what she's done to those who don't. Hearing that Mirror was heading to bed, Nym says, "Well, I'm heading to bed too, would you like some company?"

Mirror was a little surprised that Nymph asked her if she would enjoy some company,

"I suppose it would be less lonely that way, but you really don't want to sleep in the galley do you?"

Mirror had been alone for so long it was going to be nice to have company, the bed and crows nest got very lonely.

After hearing what Mirror had said about her offer, Nym says, "No, not really. How about you join me in my room, the bed is made for three, you can imagine all the adventures I've been though on there, along with every other surface of the ship."
