Escape From the boring (Open)

Henric couldn't help himself he needed to get out of the Caribbean for a little bit the heat was getting to him. So he headed to London and began to roam the streets for here he was just an ordinary civilian just the way he liked it on his vacations. The Caribbean had it quirks if you could get past the burning rays of the sun.

He was well tanned from countless hours wandering and sailing from one island to the next surveying his land and the citizens within it. He was dressed in long pants and a loose fitting shirt which was common for most of the civilians since he didn't want to stick out at all

Kari knew she had many things that she needed to do, but she knew that even the Governor had to get away once in awhile. Many times she got out under cover wearing a bright blonde wig.

She loved the feeling of being free and unknown. She also loved being out of the dresses and being able to wear her jeans and t-shirt.

Kari many times would catch herself staring at the ground and this usually got herself into trouble. She had rounded a corner and ran right into someone who was walking down the street.

"Oh I am so sorry, I really should pay attention to where I am going."

Henric frowned a little when someone bumped into him as he turned he noticed that it was a lady his attitude changed a little bit.

"It is alright my lady. Accidents happen right." He smiled a little bit and looked her over a little bit.

"My name is Henric Sparrow by the way. May I have the pleasure of yours?" He asked as he held his hand out to her.

Kari had to smile at the gentleman as he introduced himself. She almost laughed.

Kari stuck out her hand and smiled, she knew the name all too well because it was her job to know.

"Well Governor Sparrow, you are a little ways from home are you not?" Kari smiled.

In a whisper she said, "I am Kari Readour." She assumed he would know who she was too.

It was very apparent that she was not the only governor that liked to get away to do things without the hassle of guards and things.

"Ah Governor Readour a pleasure to meet you again." He whispered back "And yes I am a little ways away from my home the heat sometimes get to me if you know what I mean even though I have been there for years."

Henric looked around at the streets he was actually kind of glad to be back in London even though it was just a few days it has been years since his last visit and that was just a little too long he was going to make sure to make an annual trip to his birth place now that he was full situated as Governor of the Caribbean Islands he felt that he could leave for a couple weeks at a time.

Kari could not help but smile and then leaned forward and kissed Henric on the cheek,

"I believe we are way past the formalities, Henric. Don't you think?" Kari could not help but smile.

"You know I have missed you, it has been way too long since you have come back to see me."

Kari remembered years ago and Henric and her had met, they were a lot younger back then, but they had become friends and things grew from there. Henric had left to be the Governor of the Caribbean Islands, and she was left alone.

"Yes I can imagine that you are down there enjoying the warm weather, while I am up here freezing without anyone to keep me warm." Kari almost said with a pout.

Henric had to smile and took Kari into his arms. "My dear I will be making visits every year now sometimes twice a year." He kissed her forehead gently.

Henric let go of Kari and knelt on one knee in front of her and pulled out a box.

"My dear Kari I have loved you for a while. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife." He held his breath as he waited for her answer which he hoped would be yes for he could not imagine his life with out her even if it was just a several visits a year.

Kari smiled when he pulled her into his arms, she almost melted. She had missed him so much and love the way she felt in his arms. She was actually surprised to see him on the streets, usually he had just come to her house.

"I would love to see you anytime you can come to see me"

Kari was in shock when he let go of her and got down on his knees, she actually blushed and looked around hoping no one would see them. Where they were was pretty secluded, but all they needed was this to get around now.

Kari had her hands over her nose and lips and had tears in her eyes when he told her how much he loved her. Kari pulled Henric up to his feet and threw her arms around him.

"Of course I will marry you, I have never loved anyone else. It has always been you." Kari kissed him.

Henric smiled and kissed her back. He was glad that she accepted his proposal. "Should we go somewhere private and talk more?" Henric knew they had lots to catch up on and he wanted to be back in her life more than anything and being engaged gave him an excuse to come to England more often though he was hoping she might like to take a visit to his home sometime.

He slipped an arm around her waist and knew that he was whole again at least for a couple of days. "My dear would you like to take a visit to my new home sometime. But I will warn you it get's very warm during the day."

Kari smiled as Henric pulled her close to him, "Of course, my place is just around the corner or did you forget already.

Kari laughed a little as she placed her arm in his arm, "We have so much to catch up on, and I don't even no where to start."

Kari walked them up to the gates and then opened them, "Home sweet home, and of course I would love to come to your home, but you know that means I would have to talk to Shannon." Kari sighed

Kari and Shannon did not see eye-to-eye very often on things, Kari liked pirates and Shannon didn't.

Henric couldn't wipe the smile off his face when she opened the gates he gave her a kiss and followed her into the courtyard and waited for her to open the door he was just glad to be with her.

"Nothing like being home." He said chuckling and gave her yet another kiss he just loved her so much and hated that he now lived so far away however if they were able to take turns visiting each other it would be a whole lot easier on those nights or monthswhere they had to be alone.
